Paediatric Dentistry

The habits children build around dental care in their early years tend to stick with them for life, which is exactly why getting off to a good start matters so much. At TFBC, we aim to make every visit a positive one, helping children feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair from their very first appointment, while giving parents clear, practical guidance on caring for their child's teeth at every stage.

From a baby's first tooth through to the arrival of adult teeth in the teenage years, our team is here to support your child's oral health every step of the way.

When Should My Child First See a Dentist?

It's a good idea to bring your child for their first dental visit around their first birthday, or within six months of their first tooth appearing, whichever comes first. Early visits aren't really about treatment; they're about familiarising your child with the dental environment, giving parents a chance to ask questions, and letting us keep an eye on early development. Starting early also helps prevent dental anxiety from ever taking hold, since the dentist becomes a normal, non-scary part of life from the outset.
